eClinicalworks prompts to “select a payment type” when making changes

Posted on January 8, 2021January 8, 2021 By samadmin

This is a pretty easy fix but it isn’t immediately obvious where you go for this, so here’s how to fix this prompt.

1. Go to File -> Settings -> My settings

2. Click on the Default tab

3. Click “Default payment method in copay screen”, and do one of these things:

  • If payment type is set to other, select a reason
  • Otherwise, make sure that cash, check or credit is selected.

4. Click “OK”, log out, and log back into eCW.

5. Fixed! You can now make any changes you need to without that annoying prompt.
