Adding a Software Token to an eclinicalworks Account

Posted on January 8, 2021January 8, 2021 By samadmin

Path: Main Menu > eCW Menu > Tools > ePrescription > EPCS Register Prescriber > Manage Account

Adding a software token to an account after the original hardware toking has been bound can be done at anytime by accessing the Manage Account window. Prescribers will still need a hardware token subscription to set up the software token, and to use as a backup in case of a lost cell phone.

To add a software token to an account:

1.Download the Authy application to the mobile device from the App Store® or Google Play™.

2.On the Manage Account window, click the Manage Account button:

The EPCS Register Prescriber window opens.

3.Click the Authenticate button, on the Manage Token section.

Once the authentication is completed, the Authenticate button will be grayed out.

4.Click the Add Credential button, on the Manage Mobile Credential section:

The Mobile Credential Registration displays.

5.Enter the mobile telephone number, and click the Register Phone button:

6.On the The Mobile Credential Binding section, click the One Touch button:

7.Go to the Authy application on the mobile device, and click the Approve me to bind your device message:

A window opens.

8.Click the Approve green button to bind the device:

Once the request is approved from the mobile application, it displays as Active under the Manage Account of the eClinicalWorks Application:
