To disable the touchscreen fully:
- Open registry editor as administrator.
- Navigate to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Wisp/Touch
- If it doesn’t exist, add a new DWORD called TouchGate.
- Set TouchGate’s value to 0.
- Move into MultiTouch now.
- Set MultiTouchEnabled as 0.
- Go to Device Manager as an administrator.
- Set the HID-compliant touchscreen driver as something totally off the wall driver wise
- Restart computer
- Have client test touchscreen functionality when you disconnect. If no input, great! If there was, try setting/creating the TouchGate DWORD (mentioned in step 3) in HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Wisp/Touch
