Lenovo hangs on boot

Posted on January 8, 2021 By samadmin

We had a batch of Lenovo Thinkcentres that will randomly hang on boot.  I discovered that if you disable IOMMU in the bios (Advanced/IMMU), the issue is resolved.

It seems that the default is Auto, which causes the hang up intermittently, but if set to enabled, the computer will hang every time.
